Partnerships

AVAPE is constantly searching to build strategic, long-lasting alliances as a means of providing continuity to its mission of working for the inclusion of persons with disability. That’s why a very successful partnership brings many benefits to all those involved, like:

- Greater participation in the community;
- Decentralization of responsibilities and actions;
- Improved service quality;
- Increased number of beneficiaries;
- Greater disclosure for our partners.

AVAPE currently runs partnerships with hundreds of companies, for carrying out social projects and institutional actions; professional placement, provision of services; workshops, etc.

Partnerships in Brazil

Via Viva Institute
The Via Viva Institute is the fruit of a partnership that began two years ago between AVAPE and MONOBETON Soluções Tecnológicas Ltda., a company specializing in the development of technologies for the civil construction sector.

The Institute creates and implements innovative technologies and solutions for sustainable development. To this end it has developed a solution to replace commercial concrete, with a similar cost and durability, creating countless social and environmental benefits and which can be used in surfacing, floors, squares, highway barriers, railroad sleepers and thermoacoustic barriers, etc.

IES – The Social Enterprise Institute
The IES is a civil social organization of public interest, founded by specialist professionals from the secondary and tertiary sectors, with extensive experience in social enterprise and organizations management.

The expertise and professionalism of its team of consultants has enabled IES and AVAPE to consolidate important strategic partnerships in the most diverse scenarios and markets, developing and training social agents so that they adopt an entrepreneurial and innovative approach in the search for social transformation.

The “Ressoar” Institute and RECORD Television Network
AVAPE and the TV network entered into a partnership for disclosing news of interest to persons with disabilities on the “Ressoar” program. The programs of “TV Sentidos” will be retransmitted by “Ressoar” and vice-versa.

In addition, other social actions have been jointly developed, like the “Sentidos” prize awards, a competition designed to discover talent, achievements of companies and organizations of the Tertiary Sector and, above all, to provide visibility for the life stories and achievements of persons with disabilities.

AVAPE jointly operates with the principal world networks that support persons with disabilities, and is affiliated to Rehabilitation International, The Resource Foundation and Workability Americas - USA. In addition, it has strategic partnerships for exchanging experiences and developing projects.

Solidarity Company Stamp

AVAPE created the Solidarity Stamp for Companies that Support Persons with Disabilities, in recognition of companies that support work on behalf of disabilities.

In order to use the stamp, a company can contribute in different ways: by becoming a sponsor of AVAPE projects, providing services and products which contribute to the organization’s activities, promoting campaigns to capture new AVAPE associates or making monthly financial contributions.

In exchange, AVAPE offers partner companies the right to use the stamp on advertising material, packaging and folders for one year. Depending on the category of donation the company chooses, AVAPE also provides promotional material, like banners, billboards and mail shots.

The Solidarity Stamp for Companies that Support Persons with Disabilities allows the company to link its image with social projects, which transmits a message of social responsibility to consumers, suppliers and employees.

Once a year, AVAPE holds the Encounter of Companies that Value Persons with Disabilities. Successful case studies are presented to show the actions of large companies in promoting social and professional inclusion. This initiative means that partners, businessmen and human resources professionals can swap experiences, while allowing socially responsible companies to integrate.

Accessibility partner establishment

This is a detailed technical assessment which aims to provide guidance for organizations in regard to the adaptations required to their buildings, so as to render them accessible, from the architectural and functional point of view, to persons with disabilities and reduced mobility.

Following a technical assessment by an accessibility consultant and the implementation of the necessary adaptations, the accessibility partner establishment enjoys differentiated social responsibility.
