The second Brazilian city to receive a unit of the AVAPE Network is Piracicaba, located in the interior of São Paulo. The partnership was signed with the Piracicaba Rehabilitation Center (CRP) at the entity’s own headquarters. This arrangement came to be through the International Technical Cooperation Program, in partnership with the Interamerican Development Bank (IDB) and the Multilateral Investment Fund (FUMIN). The Piracicaba Rehabilitation Center (CRP) is a not-for-profit institution, which for 44 years has provided free treatment in the therapy, education and professional training areas for those with physical, mental or multiple disabilities. Now that it is licensed, the Center intends to improve and expand its Labor Market Inclusion Program for persons with disability by using AVAPE methodology, so as to become the benchmark in the segment in which it operates in the region.
