Professional Rehabilitation

The Professional Rehabilitation Program is held at the AVAPE units in the cities of São Paulo, Santo André, Tatuí, São José dos Campos and Resende (RJ) and is being taken to the rest of Brazil through the AVAPE Network. The aim is to prepare persons with disabilities (or in situations of social vulnerability) for the labor market.

At the units, the young people are assessed according to their characteristics, aptitudes, interests and skills, and are able, in practice, to experience an environment that simulates the professional context.

The program functions as a transition zone for the labor market, in which the person builds their worker identity through experience. On a full-time daily basis, the person participates in workshops and receives individual and group attention, family guidance and activities in music, sport and the arts.

In addition to the regular Professional Rehabilitation Program, the units offer the Compact Process Program which enables people with some experience to participate in a recycling process, in order to be up to date with the demands of the corporate world.
