NURAP - Núcleo Rotary de Aprendizagem Profissional (Rotary Nucleus of Professional Apprenticeships), located in the Santo Amaro district of São Paulo, is the third organization to sign the AVAPE Network licensing agreement. By joining the AVAPE Network, newly-licenses NURAP, which currently undertakes a program for training and placing young people in their first job, will also extend its actions to persons with disabilities. NURAP is a not-for-profit entity, founded in 1987 by the Brooklin and Morumbi chapters of the São Paulo Rotary Club. The entity is noted for its 100% free-of-charge projects, with no public funding, and in order to sustain is activities it relies exclusively on the collaboration of companies and people who share the ideal of promoting human beings, so that they become agents for transforming their own story. Throughout its existence, the Nucleus has trained and placed in their first jobs over 10.000 young people on the outskirts of São Paulo. Site: http://www.nurap.org.br. |
